The improved healthcare.gov website is working!

healthcare_0Sometimes we need to get out of our comfort zones and take a chance. I stopped following instructions and started from scratch on the healthcare website. It took me three hours and ten minutes from start till I had the first months premium paid. Perseverance is the name of the game, and lots of patience. Remember you must pay the first months premium to be enrolled. I recommend you print everything they send you just to be on the safe side and put it in a safe place.

Psychology of Money

writingI was recently at an investors conference. One of the major themes was psychology and how you react to what is going on around you. What I find helps sometimes is to write down what is going on in my life and how I feel about it BEFORE I make a decision. This seems to help me make an intelligent decision, rather then an emotional one. Remember you don’t have to be right, you just need to make money. Try thinking to what use you are going to put the money

Well here we are in the fourth quarter what is supposed to be the beginning of the best 6 months of the year. Historically November to April are better months then May through October. So you might want to look at where you are at and where you are going. Be realistic in your goals and investing. Beware of following the herd, trading excessively, or becoming paralyzed. If you have set a % for a profit stick with your plan don’t try to second guess what the market might do tomorrow.

WashingtonControl is key. You do not have control over what is happening in Washington D.C. but you do have control over what you do. Watch your portfolio maybe take a little profit, maybe buy on a dip, stay nimble and keep yourself in control of your money, and your emotions.

butterflyanimation-14Follow up on Affordable care act… If you are having trouble getting into the website healthcare.gov another option is to call them. There is a toll free number on the website. It takes about an hour on the phone to answer all of the questions, have your income tax return from last year it will make it easier. Also the navigators will be at the Deland and Deltona libraries on different days and at different times during Oct. call the library for information, the navigators are also supposed to be at the YMCA. Good Luck to everyone if I get more information I will let you know.

Right now CAUTION is the word. Remember that you can buy and sell in increments you do not have to do it all at once. Just make sure you know what fees you will incur and remember to check out what is available without any fees or commissions from your broker

Do not panic. The market is working itself into a tizzy. Stick with your plan. Know your entry and exit points. Make sure you use limit orders. Sometimes volatility can be your friend use it don’t let it use you. Relax take a deep breath think before you react instead of acting. Make your decision, follow your plan.
