Home Remedies for Large Pores

August 29th, 2012 Posted in Beauty, Girl Stuff, Recipes

I don’t know about you but this is one of the many troubles I have with my skin.  The experts say it is due to overactive sebaceous glands in the skin.  Pores are simply openings in the skin that release sweat and oil to the skin surface.  If there’s too much oil, the pores can become thik and the skin loses that natural smoothness we all want.  Here are a couple of remedies that should help:

Cucumber Eyes

Remedy #1

This homemade remedy uses cucumber.  Crush cucumber add a few drops of lemon juice.  Stir to create a paste.  Apply this mixture to your face but not your eyes and place cucumber slices over your eye areas.  Let sit for 15-20 minutes and then rinse.  This recipe is known to increase blood circulation and helps to unclog pores.

Remedy #2

This remedy uses Egg whites and lemons.  You should mix 1 egg-white and a few drops of lemon juice.  Then apply to your skin and wait till it dries in seven to ten minutes.  The egg white works to nurture the skin while shrinking the pores and helping to expel at least some of what is inside.  As the egg dries, it hardens helping to pull that waste out.  The lemon juice helps with the reduction of the pore size.

Natural Cures for Razor Burn

August 1st, 2012 Posted in Beauty, Recipes

The traditional treatment would be use a wash for acne and follow with triple antibiotic cream.  A great home remedy is is to apply prepared oatmeal and allow to dry for 5 minutes before wiping off.  You could also use sour cream, just don’t allow it to get inside if used on the bikini line.  The use of the triple antibiotic cream is always a good idea on any kind of rash or abrasion.

Today’s tip comes from “The Doctors”  show on ABC networks.

Homemade Foot Scrub

Mix the juice of 2 lemons with baking soda to create a paste.  scrub damp feet with paste and rinse in warm water.

The above scrub is not only refreshing but the lemon juice contains antibacterial properties that may help to prevent some common foot fungi.
