Updating Blog Software

Greetings,

I have been working with a newer version of the WordPress software than the one operating this site and therefore I will be updating this blog to a more advanced or streamlined layout using the latest version of the WordPress software. Once I have the new software installed and configured, I will be breaking this blog into two distinct blogs.  One for health, fitness and recipes.  The other for crafts, cultural and arts events and materials.

Both are free to join! Watch for an email asking you to register for the new blog site(s).  I look forward to helping you connect with your creative, healthy, curious inner self as we explore new ideas, tools, techniques and venues!

Meditation 101

You’ve heard all of the reports on how meditation can lower your blood pressure, reduce stress, improve your memory and more but you still don’t do it.  Try this.  Dedicate just two minutes in the morning and two minutes in the evening by sitting quietly doing this simple breathing exercise.  Breath in for a count of 6, hold for a count of 8, exhale for a count of 6-8.  Do this for two minutes and you’ll see a change that may motivate you to try other forms of meditation like yoga, tai chi or Qi Gong.

Busy Summertime

All of us are busy and don’t have time to eat right or take care of us.  Remember to take the time to fill your cup so others can drink from it.  Spend some quality time with yourself first thing in the morning and make it part of your daily regimen.  Just 10 minutes of meditation, yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi will benefit your health and yield benefits you may not expect.  Slowly build up to 30 minutes by adding a short walk or run.

Wrist Surgery for Carpal Tunnel

Greetings Everyone,Thanks for your notes of concern.  I have very busy getting all of my clients caught up before having carpal tunnel surgery next Tuesday so I haven’t been very active on this blog.  I’ve also been trying not to type so much which has been hard to do while swamped with site orders.  This blog will not be as active this summer due to the two wrist surgeries scheduled. One in May and then again July. I’ve created lots of beautiful cabochons for your choice of mountings, finished beaded and wire wrapped stones, and wonderful dichroic glass bracelets and pendants you have to see to believe.  For a private viewing or jewelry party at your next gal pal gathering, call me at 386-801-6500.

Quiet Lately

I apologize for my recent lack of activity.  My spine was not cooperating with my desires and kept me from my keyboard.  I feel much better now and so watch for lots of great information I’ve been saving up for you.  🙂
